More explanation on Roller Coaster Project

For those wanting a little more direction on the roller coaster project. Your task is to Build a Roller coaster (Cubic or Quartic Poly), that will keep you passenger ( a marble) safely on it without flying off. Also pick a theme and run with it and make it fun!

You can do this a few ways. All routes start with picking some x-Intercepts that are spread out enough to help so you don’t have crazy turns that will throw off your pour marble, second you can choose to either

Option 1. Sketch a graph through those points, and then mark some points your roller coaster goes through. Write those points on a table and use STAT to find your equation. Use the a value for your scale factor for your factored form.

—OR—

Option 2. Use your x-Intercepts to write a factor form equation and a scale factor like -1/10 or -1/100 in the front to keep the roller coaster from getting too high or low. Then plugging in x values to find the corresponding y points for your table. Then use STAT to find expanded for and Double Distributing or Synthetic to verify it is correct.

I am there to help you along the way, and conquering any issues is really great for it counts for your Critical Thinking.

This project is quite easier than it sounds, just make sure everything that I am grading has a spot on your board I can easily find, and that you WRITE SOME SENTENCES explaining how you solved issues, and how to solve graphically.
